The Studio of Baroque Music ("Studio de Musique Baroque") was created in December 1999 by Bernard Wolteche within the Brussels Music Conservatory. The Studio offers a living and coherent approach to Baroque music, both for singers and instrumentalists.
By directing the Studio, Mr. Wolteche offers his experience of the baroque music world within reduce-sized ensembles (such as the Ricercar Consort, Silbermann Ensemble or Les Agremens).
The Studio of Baroque Music has offered several concerts around J.S. Bach's cantatas. After a performance of Bach's Johannes-Passion, the Studio was invited to Graz (Austria) in October 2003, for a recital of J.S. Bach cantatas and Händel's Messiah. In 2005, the Studio made its debut in Spa's Musical Autumn ("Automne Musical de Spa"), and was invited to perform again the following year.
Today, the Studio of Baroque Music continues to perform in concert halls and Churches, much to the delight of its audience !
