discography

Born in a family of musicians, Bernard Wolteche studied law before he turned to music. His first musical experience was within his family, playing along with his brothers and sisters, and parents.

His experience ranges from ancient music (collaboration with the Ricercar Academy, the Paul Dombrecht Consort, Il Fondamento, la Capella Amsterdam, the Ricercar Consort, La Pastorella, Les Agremens,...) to contemporary music (concerts and recordings with Ensemble Musique Nouvelle). Bernard Wolteche has always been attracted by small formations, and vocal music.

Since 1994, Bernard Wolteche is first cello within the Collegium ad Mosam ensemble in the Netherlands. This ensemble explores the vocal repertoire of the baroque period. Bernard held the continuo part in the J.S. Bach Passions, either on modern cello or baroque cello.

He has also performed as soloist with several orchestras.

Since 1998, Bernard Wolteche is lecturer at the Music Conservatory of Brussels, in Alain De Rijckere's class of Chamber Music. In order to enhance collaboration between voices and instruments, Bernard created the Studio de Musique Baroque, which performs regularly in concert (please visit the website page related to "Studio de Musique Baroque", via the menu to the left).

In tune with family musical tradition, Bernard Wolteche lives with his wife (Sylvie Stenuit) and children, all musicians, in the Belgian countryside.

Sylvie Stenuit is a soprano. Her experience ranges from ancient music (on tour with "les Menus Plaisirs du Roy, ...) to contemporary music (recording of melodies by Karel Goeyvaerts, Messiaen concerts with pianist David Miller, collaboration with Launeddas ensemble, ...), including opera (Opera-Studio of la Monnaie). She currently teaches at the Music Academy of Etterbeek (Belgium).
